Nice to meet you...
Standard Poodles
About us...
I've always had dogs in my life and I grew up with all types of breeds, but it was in 2017 when Milo arrived, our first Standard Poodle. My husband and I wanted a medium-large dog that would fit in well with our growing family, and Milo did just that. The breed certainly isn't the 'pompous show dog' they are so often portrayed as. Infact, the poodle started out as a hunting dog, especially good at water retrieving.
I had left my teaching career and was home full time, and my love and research for well-bred dogs developed further. I got in touch with a very well known show breeder and we were very fortunate that he had a bitch suitable for us. She has an exceptional pedigree filled with champions, including her own father (who was conceived by AI from a Canadian Multi Champion born in the 80s), and her maternal grandfather won Crufts Best in Show in 2014. We named her Diva and she started our line of Cariamora Standard Poodles.
We kept Pearl from Diva's first litter, again she has exceptional breeding on both sides. Her father is a Champion and paternal grandfather is UK & US Champion and BOV at Westminster 2017. We have started to lightly show her and she qualified for Crufts durng her first eligible show. She is a sweet and playful girl with a lovely temperament. Both mother and daughter are very loving, extremely intelligent and make us laugh on a daily basis. We feel so fortunate to share our home with these wonderful dogs.
Our aim...
We are occasional hobby breeders; matings are thoughtfully planned by taking into consideration health, pedigree, temperament and breed standard. We aim to promote the Standard Poodle as it deserves to be: an athletic, versatile, intelligent breed and the best family dog you could wish for.
Style the poodle any way you like!
Cocker Spaniels
I have always adored the look of the show type Cocker Spaniel, with its gentle expression and long, silky ears the breed really is very beautiful. Although adoring them, I never managed to have one when growing up, but my husband had two and he agreed to add a cocker to the family. Our first Cocker Spaniel arrived shortly after the poodle. Their smaller size means they're quite a portable dog and our cockers have always been very affectionate, cuddly dogs. The Cocker Spaniel is an extremely popular breed in the gundog group. Our aim is to continue our line by making use of every breed relevant health test available and therefore using only fully health tested cockers in our breeding programme. Fingers crossed I will get a cocker spaniel into the show ring very soon.
Assured Breeder Scheme...
We choose to be part of the voluntary Kennel Club Assured Breeder scheme which means we are subject to regulations and inspections through the scheme, and we hope this gives additional confidence to puppy buyers. All breed relevant health testing has been carried out on our dogs, in accordance with the scheme.
Our dogs are very much part of our family and live in the home with us - they cuddle on the sofa, join us on family outings, attend ringcraft and dog shows. Puppies are also born and raised in our home, spending their entire time as part of the family - we live in a busy, open-plan home so puppies have a wonderful start in life with lots of sounds, sights and experiences.
We are located 8 miles from Carmarthen town centre. Our much loved dogs live within our secure home, at all times, with CCTV in operation.
