I am an occasional breeder and my dogs live in my home with me; they are first and foremost my pets. We live in South West Wales on a (previously used as) farm which is wonderful for the dogs as they have plenty of outdoor space to explore. We’re also fortunate to live in an area where the dogs can enjoy walking in the surrounding forest, nearby beaches and parks.
I have always had dogs in my life and I grew up with all types of breeds. I love all dogs but the Standard Poodle is really special. The breed is an incredibly smart, playful, good tempered and athletic companion and certainly isn’t the ‘pompous show dog’ that they are so often portrayed as. Infact, the poodle started out as a hunting dog, especially good at water retrieving.
Diva began our line of Cariamora Standard Poodles. She has an outstanding and interesting pedigree. Her father is a Champion; he was conceived by AI from a Canadian Multi Champion born in the 80s. Diva’s maternal grandfather won Crufts best in show in 2014!
She is a friendly, intelligent and elegant lady and thoroughly enjoys all trips out with the family and is just so easy, she’s a dream to take out and about. Diva has produced wonderful puppies that have gone to qualify for Crufts, train as assistance dogs as well as living their best lives in pet homes.
Pearl is Diva’s daughter from her first litter. Her father is a Champion and paternal grandfather is UK & US Champion and BOV at Westminster 2017. She is a very pretty and loving girl. She makes an excellent, gentle ‘aunt’ to all puppies here, playing and looking after them as if they were her own. She loves being close to the family and snuggling up on the sofa (and bed!) with us. Pearl has been shown at Championship level and qualified for Crufts at her first eligible show.
I aim to breed when hoping to keep a puppy for myself. I aim to breed the best possible puppies and spend a lot of time considering which stud dog best compliments our girls, we have travelled many hours for the right stud. Our dogs (and puppies) live in our busy home so naturally experience everyday-life scenarios. We only have puppies for a short time before they go to their forever home but they experience an incredible amount of sights, sounds and handling and that early socialisation is extremely important. Puppies leave with a contract, lifetime support, a WhatsApp group is set up for puppy owners to keep in touch with the littermates, they leave having experience of a crate, have been introduced to toilet training and have been fed on a high quality diet (a starter pack of this food is provided as part of the puppy pack). They are also vet checked, received first vaccination and microchipped.
I prioritise homes that are happy to fill in my puppy form and give information on the type of home they can provide one of my puppies. I like to have this information before arranging visits to ensure we have a pup potentially suitable before making a journey. I welcome any questions so please ask away.
As an occasional breeder, I don’t tend to use waiting lists until a pregnancy is confirmed. The best way to keep up to date is to follow us on social media where you will find puppy updates and snapshots of life with our dogs.
We are located 8 miles from Carmarthen town centre. Our much loved dogs live within our secure home, at all times, with CCTV in operation.
